Staying here feels like a journey back to the communist era, as the property hasn't been renovated yet. However, it offers decent comfort and good value for the price. The highlight is the access to the swimming pool and sauna area. Breakfast is acceptable but unremarkable. Additionally, the availability of parking is a significant advantage in Cluj-Napoca.

The young lady at reception was lovely. Everything went smoothly. Large lobby with impressive chandeliers, decades old. The location high on the hill, surrounded by trees, away from the city traffic. We were lucky to find several empty parking spots, so that went smoothly. Good size room, bright, with a balcony and a spectacular view of the city, both during the day and especially at night. Traditional furniture, nostalgic, but elegant. We had bathrobes in the bathroom, which came in handy for the pool. We brought our own swim caps, as we were told in advance they were compulsory. We enjoyed the pool in the evening and again in the morning. The water was pleasant, and luckily when we went it was quiet and comfortable to use. As the semi-olympic pool is part of World Class Club, it can get busy with swimming and aqua classes, but the guy at the club reception was helpful in telling us when it would be more quiet to swim, once the classes ended. Breakfast was ok-scrambled and sunny side up eggs, different cheeses, cold cuts, sausages, mixed salad, yogurt, cereals, jams, a few traditional dishes such as zacusca and smoked aubergine salad, apple strudel and chocolate muffins, coffee… and my favorite- fresh watermelon, since it is the season in Romania.

This is a Ceausescu-era architectural gem - so hideous that it has it's own charm: the unnecessarily large lobby, the small bedrooms made even smaller by chunky wooden furniture and the mysterious pair of armchairs to be found by the lift on every floor. What was their purpose in Communist-era hotels? This concrete monolith of a hotel is located on top of a park-like hill only a short (but steep) walk from the city centre. making a very pleasant location to stay in the city.

A reasonable place at a reasonable price. Not extravagant, but useful. Has an older feeling, with remnants from the communist era, which gives it a a certain aura. Not bristling with modern gimicks, and that's a positive. Fantastic view over the city, all around. Quiet and peaceful. Unlike many hotels in the city centre, Belvedere has it's own, large parking lot. Extremly important when travelling by car. Can't say more about other amenities because I hadn't used them.

Super Pool (25qm) and Sauna facilities (one hammam and one dry sauna), i didn't use the fitnesscenter, but even locals go there and like it. The breakfast was okay, there was everything you need, it had a slight Romanian tendency since you had two types of Zacusca, Romanian white bread and apple pie (if you came early enough). The view is gorgeous, all over it's a place where locals go to meet up for a nice view and to have a smooth evening. I never went to the restaurant, but nearby there was Electric Gardens, an open air place with several food trucks with really delicious food! Architecture quite old, but comfortable bed and clean rooms.

The hotel is located on a hill, and almost every room offers a nice panorama of the city. An uber ride to the historic center is about 4 euros. The room was cozy and warm. The hotel has a pool (which the guests can use for free) and a parking. The personnel was polite and the breakfast was nice enough.

The gym and swimming pool next door is great. Maybe it would be a good advice to tell guests to bring swimming cap with them. The view from the rooms is great. The restaurant is good. Very useful to have parking. The breakfast was good and good value (for Romenia). Dinner was good and very useful to be able to eat dinner at the hotel after a long day out without needing to go down the hill to eat in the city center.

The hotel might look a bit old on the outside but it is really high standard on the inside. We were surprised it was only 3 stars and not 4. The room was really comfortable and clean.

We liked the view from the hotel to Cluj Napoca. Big parking space. The New Year’s brunch was delicious.

Breakfast, varied choice, excellent all round. The room was large and the bed comfortable. The Hotel is located in a quiet and green area in what has become a noisy and polluted city.
